   “I do love to read- I’m in a book club with my closest friends. We just finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (which was amazing, I highly reccomend it.) I think it’s important to stay well rounded and stimulated. I graduated about a year and 1/2 ago, so it’s easy to get lazy and sink into playing internet games or things.    “My Father called me last week and left me a voicemail saying he read an article about a girl that reminded him of me. He said the article had a quote that said “She was the kind of girl that made everyone she met feel like they were worth something.” I was at work, and of course burst into (happy!) tears. I was so flattered. I can only hope to be that sort of person in life. We’re only here for a while, so why not help each other out while we are?”

   “I adore living in this city and making the most of it with my friends. I’m so incredibly lucky to have had a family that has always supported my dreams, and to have surrounding myself with smart people that work hard for what they love. I think for a while I was apologetic about what I do because the arts can be an intimidating field to work in professionally, but I’m starting to realize that as long as you take yourself seriously in what you do- others will, too.    “My part-time job is data-input, so I listen to a lot of podcasts and npr. I’m a huge This American Life fan, and a fan of a podcast called Professor Blastoff with the comedian Tig Notaro. I like to think it’s my sort of geeky side, but it’s so great because I can laugh and learn while I’m working. Also, I listen to audiobooks with “celebritites” (Jane Lynch, Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, James Corden,) that have the careers I strive for and it’s inspiring to remember what the ultimate goal is for me career-wise. The constant theme seems to be people who wark hard, don’t give up, and are kind to others. It reminds me that what I want in life is attainable and within my reach as long as I don’t give up.”  -Jillian
